Overview
Toshiba Software Development (Vietnam) Co. Ltd. (TSDV) are looking for motivated students who have strong background in related technical fields (see below detailed knowledge/skill requirements) & great passion in developing their career path in machine learning (ML) field.
Suitable candidates will have chances to join on-the-job training schema in the joined research centre formed up by TSDV & a group of ML domain experts in top universities in Vietnam.
The main duty of the joined research centre is to research & develop computer systems using machine learning state of the art techniques in variety of business domains, which targeted to Toshiba products & solutions.
Entrance Level of Education
- 3rd or 4th year students in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent.
Specific Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Have true passion & motivation in Machine Learning related fields.
- Solid knowledge at Linear Algebra, Probability and Information Theory, Statistics, Numerical Computation.
- Basic experiences/skills in machine learning, deep learning, data mining, statistical inference, mathematical modeling, or mathematical optimization techniques and technologies is an advantage.
- Familiar with one of programming/scripting languages in ML field: Python, C/C++, Java, R, etc.
- Having practical skills/experiences in application of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Theano, Torch, DL4J, etc, is an advantage.
- Ability to solve problems by being collaborative, creative and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to pay careful attention to details.
- Active, good team player, good sense of responsibility, result-oriented and deadline commitment.
- Appropriate English language fluency (verbal & written) is basic requirement (TOEIC 600+); Japanese language (N4 or higher) is an advantage.
Benefits
Selected candidates will have attractive chances of career development & benefit as follows:
- Foundation training period: being provided a comprehensive & essential training course in 2-3 months in Machine Learning field by domain expert(s).
- The selected will get monthly allowance during training time.
- On-the-job training period (at least 6 months): Chance of working in team with experienced machine learning software engineers/domain experts in practical machine learning projects; joining international contests; and/or contributing to writing science papers.
- The selected will get part-time payment (up to 8 million VND per month) during on-the-job training time.
- Good cases will get long-term labor contract with Toshiba right after graduation.
Recruitment procedure
- Applicants will take an entrance test and interview round(s). Recently, we target to select around 5 candidates into the foundation training only.
- After the foundation training, a given member will get through evaluation gate before we decide if he/she can move to on-the-job training period or not. Recently, we target to select around 3 members to join on-the-job training period only.
